How GuestVine works

You build a feed from people you follow. GuestVine watches podcasts for the people you care about, turns new guest appearances into RSS items, and sends them into the podcast app you already use.

1

Build a feed

Start a private feed around the people you want to track. It becomes the place your podcast app reads from.

2

Add people

Filter by topic, browse the topic pages, or start from any person page and follow whoever you care about.

3

It lands in your app

Each new appearance becomes a feed item, so your podcast app delivers it to you like any other feed.

What the RSS feed contains

The feed is a normal podcast feed. Every new guest appearance is delivered as a standard episode item with the show name, the episode title, a playable audio link when available, and the date it was published.

  • • A new item for every detected appearance
  • • The original publisher audio when we have it
  • • The show title, so you can see where it came from
  • • Automatic updates as new appearances are found

Example

If you follow a person, then later they show up on a new podcast, GuestVine adds that episode to your feed automatically.

In your app

The episode appears like any other podcast subscription update.
