  • Gary Wilson and Craig Campbell Interviewed By James Dooley

This episode brings together James Dooley, Gary Wilson, and Craig Campbell for an unfiltered, thoughtful conversation about ambition, mindset, success, pressure, and the unseen realities of building businesses. The discussion is grounded in an abundance mindset, with all three agreeing that growth accelerates fastest when you surround yourself with the right people rather than trying to win alone. They open by redefining success beyond money, framing it instead as freedom, health, relationships, experiences, and meaningful work. Gary Wilson describes success as adventure and building projects with people he respects, while Craig Campbell explains how priorities shift over time toward time ownership and wellbeing. James Dooley adds that real success starts with happiness, which is earned by pushing beyond comfort and managing expectations. The conversation then dives into ambition and why people with similar opportunities achieve wildly different outcomes. Gary Wilson explains his drive toward building billion-level assets and believes the difference comes down to who is willing to take more swings at opportunity. James Dooley reflects on how both Gary and Craig influenced his own journey, noting Craig’s role in connecting them and shaping his early development. From there, the episode explores collaboration and generosity, with Craig Campbell explaining why he has always helped others freely, even training teams without charging, because long-term relationships matter more than short-term gains. All three contrast this abundance-led approach with industries fueled by fear, rivalry, and isolation. The discussion then turns to the harder side of entrepreneurship: pressure, stress, burnout, and responsibility. Gary Wilson shares that he thrives under pressure and actively seeks difficult challenges because adversity sharpens resilience and makes success more meaningful. Craig Campbell opens up about the toll his first agency took on his mental health, and how rebuilding through systems, delegation, and boundaries became necessary for survival. James Dooley explains how intense work makes moments of rest, luxury, and freedom more rewarding, leading into a broader reflection on fulfilment versus happiness and why struggle often gives meaning to achievement. The episode closes with reflections on mistakes, learning curves, and advice they would give their younger selves. Gary Wilson emphasises stacking small wins instead of chasing unrealistic goals. James Dooley warns against procrastination, perfectionism, and misaligned priorities. Craig Campbell highlights the importance of delegation and reinvestment rather than hoarding resources. The final takeaway is clear and consistent throughout the discussion: long-term success is built through action, strong networks, resilience, and an abundance mindset, not fear. This episode delivers candid insight, lived experience, and practical wisdom from three entrepreneurs who understand both the highs and the costs of the journey. • Craig Campbell Interviews Mark Slorance on Google Review Cards for GBP SEO

Craig Campbell and Mark Slorance break down what still works in local SEO because Google now rewards real account behaviour and punishes shortcuts. The conversation covers aged Google accounts, mobile SIM setups, IP and GPS trust signals, GBP verification and suspensions, and why many old tactics like posts and cheap CTR traffic no longer move rankings. Mark explains how to build stronger foundations with citations, correct categories, accurate profile details, and map embeds because those basics reduce risk and improve stability. The pair also dig into reviews, including why mass review loss happened, what makes review accounts stick, and why NFC review cards drive faster, genuine review velocity because customers can leave feedback on the spot. The tone stays blunt and practical, with Craig pushing for clarity and Mark sharing hard-earned testing insights from years of map experiments. • Why Personal Branding is Crucial for Business Success | James Dooley interviews Craig Campbell
    Fatrank Podcast

The FatRank Podcast features James Dooley and Craig Campbell in a direct conversation on personal branding, authority and the realities of becoming the face of your own business. Craig Campbell breaks down why most people avoid personal branding because they fear the camera or hide behind anonymity, yet AI removes that excuse by giving everyone a way to put themselves out there. James Dooley explains why he avoided personal branding for years because he wanted his companies to take the spotlight, then admits he should have built both alongside each other because personal branding accelerates hiring, investment opportunities and trust signals. Craig Campbell shares his own turning point when clients did not know he owned his agency because the sales staff took all the visibility, which pushed him to create the Craig Campbell SEO brand. James Dooley outlines how trolls and misconceptions shape your public story if you do not control the narrative yourself because Google ranks whatever is published, not whatever is true. The two discuss the real commercial advantages of personal branding, including better multipliers when selling assets, stronger E-E-A-T signals and faster traction when launching new ventures. The episode moves into platform strategy. Craig Campbell explains why YouTube and TikTok offer the best growth potential for personal brands because they compound reach at scale. James Dooley highlights the long term power of LinkedIn for inbound leads and strategic partnerships. They cover the role of books, hosting your own podcast, appearing on other people’s podcasts and why honest personality filters out the wrong clients because the right audience follows authenticity. Craig Campbell closes by revealing how personal branding drives investment opportunities because founders want access to reach, exposure and audience trust. The discussion gives listeners a clear blueprint for building a personal brand that actually converts, grounded in real world experience rather than theory. Dignity Memorial About Craig: Craig Campbell is an American country music singer, songwriter, and pianist born in Lyons, Georgia. He played piano at his mother's Baptist church from the age of 10 until he was 18. He first heard the sounds of gospel music before listening to Travis Tritt , who was one of the reasons why he immediately fell in love with country music. When he was 15, he formed a band called Out of the Blue and began playing the bar circuit, learning how to put together a performance and capture an audience. Craig moved to Nashville, Tennessee, in 2002 in hopes of pursuing his musical career. He took on several musician jobs and began writing his songs and demos. Fellow Georgian Luke Bryan suggested Campbell try his hand at writing his own songs, and in time he mastered the craft, honing his original material at gigs. He met another singer, Mindy Ellis , fell in love, and the pair married; he also began playing piano in her band, which in turn led to a touring stint with Tracy Byrd . Keith Stegall caught one of Campbell's performances at The Stage in 2008, and the young singer was soon signed to Bigger Picture . Starting in 2010, “Family Man” and “Outta My Head” both cracked the Top 15 on Billboard’s Country Airplay chart, while others like the hook-in-cheek “Fish” snagged more than 10 million on-demand streams. “Keep Them Kisses Comin’” became a bona fide Top 10 hit, while “Outskirts of Heaven” showed an artist sensitive enough to share his soul and courageous enough to stand on conviction. The uplifting critical smash has been praised by Rolling Stone , Taste of Country , and more as a spiritual high-water mark. Instagram: https://www.i

  • Whats REALLY Working In SEO with Craig Campbell - EP 285

It is possible that what works in SEO now is not what you think. Contrary to popular belief, it's not all about keywords and keyword research - though they certainly help! Today, almost everything works differently, and we're here to find out why. Craig Campbell, Glasgow's top SEO expert, joined me in this episode of the SEJ Show for a candid discussion about what's REALLY working in SEO at the moment, including a discussion around dropped domains, domain leasing, PBNs, link building, YouTube, TikTok and other media outlets that Google loves! There are a lot of domain names that are not personally branded, and you could turn them into an excellent money website in some way. Whether it be affiliate or ecommerce, it really doesn't matter. A website's a website. –Craig Campbell, 29:24 I don't even see people going to the Wayback machine recreating all your videos. Many people just slap up any old URL and brand new URLs and stuff like that. What they don't do is do the basics properly. You need to reignite that. It's run out of gas, essentially, the website. You need to reignite it –Craig Campbell, 31:23 If you ever feel like you have imposter syndrome and don't know anything about SEO, go to a room where no one knows anything about SEO. They'll all ask you questions because you will be validated immediately. –Loren Baker, 12:38 [00:00] - A little about Craig & his YouTube channel. [04:28] - What is Craig's core focus? [05:55] - How many sites did Craig launch before finding two profitable ones? [13:22] - How does it feel to be the only SEO in the room? [17:03] - What are expired domains? [30:59] - What NOT to do when buying dropped domains. [37:18] - The best way to approach expired domains. [50:39] - Is Craig noticing anything in the middle of this content update? [55:38] - How important are Domain Authority ratings and other metrics in inbound links? [58:04] - Does Craig ever look at Majestic? Resources mentioned: Craig Campbell SEO - https://www.craigcampbellseo.com/ Odys Global - Premium Aged Domains & Websites for Sale - https://odys.global/ Typically, what I would do with any website that I bought is I would repurpose it. I might not keep the exact template and look of pictures, but what I would be doing is recreating, going through any URLs that had links pointing to them, I would be recreating those URLs. I would put the content back up from the Wayback machine and keep the website as close to what it was initially just to start to rank again for some of the terms it did have. Then link equity starts to kick back in. –Craig Campbell, 22:00 I'm not just looking at the domain name. I'm looking at the number of outbound links. I'm looking at the number of keywords that rank on that website. I'm looking at the referring domains. I'm looking at a bunch of other quality checks, and I think that part is what these guys are missing. –Craig Campbell, 32:38 Take the time to invest in an idea. It can be local, global, a $500 product, or even a $20 product, and just do it right and get it out there. Who knows, you might get addicted, and you might, if you're like Mr. Craig Campbell here, be able to flip it for 50x. Its monthly income is fantastic. –Loren Baker, 1:01:19 For more content like this, subscribe to our YouTube channel: https://www.youtube.com/user/searchenginejournal Are you looking to keep up with current and effective digital marketing today?
