To discuss what is essential to know about our particular Government, Hank introduces a special presen...

- Bible Answer Man Podcast with Hank Hanegraaff - Because Truth Matters, Reality Matters–Hank Hanegraaff on A Commitment to Reality
Hank Hanegraaff brings an important announcement about a brand-new initiative at the Christian Research Institute: a new podcast titled A Commitment to Reality , hosted by his son, Dave Hanegraaff. This podcast is not only timely but extraordinarily relevant. Why? Because we live in an era of “reality rot.” To paraphrase Blaise Pascal, we live in an age in which truth is so obscure and falsehood so established that, apart from “a commitment to reality,” you simply cannot know it. Our new podcast is a powerful complement to CRI’s other podcasts and publications, extending our ministry and mission to a whole new generation of change agents. Please subscribe to A Commitment to Reality on YouTube for full episodes and clips, and follow wherever you get your podcasts. You can also help spread the word by rating, reviewing, and telling others about A Commitment to Reality . And remember: Because truth matters, reality matters. That’s why we must remain committed to reality.

- Misreading the Book of Knowledge and the Book of Nature with Hank Hanegraaff
Hank Hanegraaff, president of the Christian Research Institute and host of the Bible Answer Man broadcast, discusses his “From the President” column in the current issue of the CHRISTIAN RESEARCH JOURNAL, 44, no. 04 (2021): 4–6. In a brilliant commentary on Genesis, the erudite Saint Ephrem the Syrian (c. 306 – c. 373) rightly depicted “the paradise narrative as a paradigm of deification, an interpretive framework for the history of redemption, and a spiritual geography for the conceptualization of deifying union with God as the goal of the Christian life.” Saint Ephrem, like the church fathers as a whole, set a high premium on the proper interpretation of Genesis in understanding what it means to be truly human. In the current issue of the JOURNAL, Fazale Rana provides a Summary Critique of William Lane Craig’s In Quest of the Historical Adam. Dr. Craig misreads both science and Scripture. Moreover, Craig invokes a novel interpretive framework clearly in conflict with “what has been believed everywhere, always, and by all.” To read Hank’s From the President in the current issue (March 2022) of the Christian Research Journal, entitled, “Misreading the Book of Knowledge and the Book of Nature” please click here. https://www.equip.org/article/misreading-the-book-of-knowledge-and-the-book-of-nature/ Click here for a Special limited preview of the article, “Who Was Adam? - Holy Tradition with Hank Hanegraaff, Francis Chan and Metropolitan Yohan
Tradition has become a dirty word to many Christians in the West, often pitting Holy Scripture and Holy Tradition against one another. However, if Holy Tradition is Scripture rightly understood then there is no need for them to be viewed in conflict. Hank Hanegraaff believes that the West would do well to recapture the spiritual power of Holy Tradition that has provided Christians throughout history with the spiritual practices meant to bring us closer to Christ. As Yaroslav Pelikan so eloquently wrote in The Vindication of Tradition,” Tradition is the living faith of the dead; traditionalism is the dead faith of the living.” Simply put, Tradition is severely misunderstood by many, so Hank Hanegraaff, Francis Chan and Metropolitan Yohan discuss Holy Tradition and Francis Chan ends this discussion series with a plea for Christians to dialogue in a spirit of brotherly love, humility and unity. Topics discussed include: Are Holy Scripture and Holy Tradition in conflict? (0:00); in defense of Holy Tradition—“Tradition is the living faith of the dead, traditionalism is the dead faith of the living” (5:35); how can we understand Holy Traditions? (11:30); why are Holy Traditions important? (15:00); the biblical practice of Confession (20:35); church is not about hearing a great sermon it is about worshiping God—the Sacramental life is a life of worshiping God (23:30); Francis Chan makes a plea for Christians to dialogue in a spirit of brotherly love, humility and unity (38:35).
